John Mohr Barnstorming
Get ready Battle Creek….he’s back, and he’s going to take the airport by storm. BarnSTORM that is.
John Mohr is one of the most well known and respected air show performers in the industry today. He has been thrilling air show audiences for over a quarter of a century and has received both the “Bill Barber Award for Showmanship” & the “Art Scholl Memorial Showmanship Award”.
John and his wife Lyn are among the most well loved people in the industry as well. Both are from Minnesota, where his family tales of Barnstorming begin. His Grandfather Fred (who knew Charles Lindbergh) was a big barnstormer after World War I. That is the roots of the act.
Now, in the 21st Century, John Mohr takes his OWN 1943 Boeing Stearman PT-17 “Kaydet” Stock 220 to the skies in a Barnstorming act that no one will forget. Re-enacting the “Golden Age” of the 30's, from take-off, you will soon find out that this is not a “normal” aerobatic routine. This aircraft has no modifications to it and is the way it was when it left the factory in 1943 (this means NO INVERTED FUEL TANK). The show is filled with low-level and IN-YOUR-FACE acrobatics, complete with noise & smoke. You’ll soon see why this act is raved about in the industry.
