Since 1980 Behnke has been directly/indirectly involved in bringing the City of Battle Creek together for the annual Balloon Festival. The employees and family members of the Behnke organizations enjoy viewing and experiencing the beauty in everything the Field of Flight and the Balloon Festival has to offer. Roy Smith Hot Air Balloon Roy Smith is from Knoxville, Tennessee. He has been a licensed balloon pilot for 15 years and has 650 hours as pilot-in-command of a balloon. He works for his own Geothermal Company. The name of his balloon is "Little 'G'". This will be his 14th year participating in the event.
