Stephen Peck is from Battle Creek, Michigan. He has been a licensed balloon pilot for 21 years and has over 330 hours as pilot-in-command of a balloon. He is a retired counselor with the Red Cross and has a wife named Sandy.
This will be his 20th year participating in the event. His balloon was named "Gypsy Wind" because Stephen likes the song Gypsy Wind! When he was first learning, Tom Roush required him to land the balloon at a nearby nudist colony...a day he will never forget.
