Tyler Jaques is from Battle Creek, Michigan. He has been a licensed balloon pilot for 6 years and has about 150 hours being pilot-in-command. Tyler is presently a manager at Meijer. He has a daughter named Brittney and his girlfriend's name is Erica Brandt.

This will be his 5th year competing in the event but he has crewed at the event since he was a child. He became interested in hot-air ballooning because his father, Dave Jaques, is also a pilot of the Post Sugar Bear balloon. It truly is great for him to be participating. His balloon is the "Post 2" Balloon. His crew is made up of Post Balloon Club members as well as local volunteers.
