Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival

The Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival will celebrate our nation's Independence Day "in-style" with the annual Fireworks Display. This display is one of the most popular features of the event. Family Fireworks Day will include Carnival Rides, Food and Vendors, Mario Manzini Magic Shows, Great Lakes Timber Shows, Balloon Launch or Fly-In and Field of Rock on Center Stage! Almost 8 hours of fun for the whole family! Don't forget to bring your cooler (see Festival Guidelines for details)!

Over the years, the Fireworks Display has become a major draw itself and has been produced by greats like PyroTechno, the Gucci Brothers & Melrose Pyrotechnics. The fireworks display will be over 15 minutes long (making it the third largest in the State of Michigan) and will be choreographed to Patriotic Music along with some pop, rock & country.

The 2013 Fireworks Display will be produced by the WORLD FAMOUS & AWARD WINNING Pyrotechnic Company Melrose Pyrotechnics. In fact, Melrose Pyrotechnics was just awarded FIRST PLACE Trophy in one of the most prestigious pyrotechnic competitions in the world, the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition in Vietnam! The display that they plan and choreograph at the Field of Flight will no doubt be high tech, awe-inspiring, and phenomenal. The fireworks display will be on THURSDAY, JULY 4th at 10:30 PM. A rain date is set for Friday, July 6th.

Family Fireworks - Happy Birthday America Day will begin when the event grounds and parking open along with the Miller Spectacular Funland/Carnival at 4 PM. Funland will be open EVERY DAY of the event (July 3rd-7th) and during normal operating hours. See All Day Carnival Wrist Band Prices.The park closes when the event grounds close.

Also Mario Manzini will be performing his awesome Magic Show called A Tribute to Houdini from 4 PM - 4:45, 6 - 6:45 PM and 8:15 - 9 PM.. He will be escaping from chains, a locked box, hand & leg cuffs and more and also eating FIRE! 

The Great Lakes Timber Show will perform from 5:30 - 6 PM with the Best Log Rolling Exhibition and chain saw carving! They will return from 7:30 - 8 PM!

Of course, you will not want to miss one of Battle Creek's favorite  nightly Hot-Air Balloon Launch or Fly-In scheduled around 6:30 PM, weather permitting. Decision on whether to launch or fly-in will depend on the weather conditions at that time. All evening Balloon Launches or Fly-Ins WILL take place at the W.K. Kellogg Airport.  FIREKEEPERS CASINO & HOTEL presents Billy Sloan and Bittersweet Nites performing on Center Stage from 9:00 - 10:30 PM, just before the Fireworks.
