Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival Announces Change to a New Carnival Provider for 2014

Battle Creek, MI – The Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival has selected a new carnival company for the event in 2014.  Skerbeck Brothers Shows, Inc., based in Escanaba, Michigan, will be the midway provider for the city’s premier annual festival, occurring at the W.K. Kellogg Airport in Battle Creek from July 2-6, 2014.

According to Sonja Skerbeck, Marketing Director for Skerbeck Brothers Shows, “We are so pleased to be selected as the new carnival vendor for this outstanding festival.  Battle Creek has an incredible reputation for balloonists and the presence of our Armed Forces at the air show is a privilege for us all.  This festival is unique and special.  What a joy it is to be able to celebrate these American traditions over the Independence Day holiday weekend!   Our company understands the importance of tradition too, we’ve been in business for about 160 years entertaining Americans.  So, it is great for us to partner with the festival to provide the carnival midway.  It is our goal to create a midway full of thrills and family-oriented fun.”

Skerbeck Brothers Shows plans to bring a wide array of high quality rides to the event, with spectacular pieces for thrill-goers as well as numerous rides catering to families with children. One new carnival attraction for the festival is a spectacular ride called the Twin Flip, which is an enormous dazzler that moves on two trucks.  It is the only one in North America and has been very popular since it was purchased in 2013.  Other features of the family-friendly midway will include customer amenities such as ATMs, hand-washing stations, misting fans, and plenty of covered seating.

Pay-one-price wristbands will be available on every day of the festival.  Pricing for wristbands will be $25 on July 2 and 3, and $30 on July 4 and 5.  (The carnival midway will not be open on July 6 due to a previous commitment). Individual ride tickets will also be available for $1 each or a sheet of 50 tickets can be purchased for $40 (rides require 2-5 tickets)

Early Birds can take advantage of deep discounts for unlimited ride passes if purchases are made before noon on July 2.  The purchases must be made online using the festival’s website.  Customers can buy single-day unlimited ride passes for only $22, and good-all-festival Mega passes for $75.  This is a great value and is immensely popular at other Skerbeck events.  The online purchasing option provides customers with an excellent discount and eases the burden of making large purchases onsite at the festival, enabling purchases using credit card as well.
